Support Our School

The staff at St. Martin is dedicated to providing the best possible education for its students.   In addition to excellent academic instruction, students benefit from athletics, technology, hands-on science opportunities and music.  These rich educational opportunities would be impossible if not for the successful “Support Our School” efforts.  Our parent community plays a major role in ensuring the success of our Support Our School” efforts.

Our Commitment

Our tuition has remained affordable over the past several years — a reflection of our commitment to keeping our community accessible to all who wish to join it.  However, the cost to educate each child significantly exceeds our per child tuition.  Therefore, we are significantly dependent on our parent community to help.

With the help of parents, the staff and administration obtain the resources we need to provide quality Catholic education for St. Martin children.  Specifically, it encompasses obtaining cash contributions from parents and other sources, bringing in resources through coordinated fund raising efforts, and the pooling and use of human resources — dedicated volunteer hours — to run our school.

While the development  team will provide leadership and guidance to the “Support Our School” efforts, it’s the dedication and commitment of our parent population that will enable us to reach our goals.  Please contact the front office at 736-5534 to find out ways to help.

How can I help?

St. Martin families are asked to Support Our School effort in three ways:
1. Donate funds through the Every Family Counts, annual appeal campaign.  This is the single most effective way for St. Martin to obtain the funding needed to educate our children.  Parents’ contributions are tax-deductible, and can help close the gap between the cost of educating each student and the tuition fees charged.
 2.  Raise funds for the school in one of the following ways:
         a) After making your gift through the Every Family Counts annual campaign, check to see if your employer offers a matching gift program.  Often, employers match donations dollar-for-dollar; that can be a great help to our school!
         b) Participate in school-sponsored fundraising activities.  Each family will be asked to participate in a pre-specified number of fund raising activities each year.
         c) Register and purchase scrip or e-scrip or School Pop through our SuperScrip program
 3.  Give time to the school through the service hour program: All families are required to give 30 hours of time to support school activities.  That may take the shape of volunteering in the classroom, serving on committees, or helping to coordinate fundraising activities or grant writing efforts.  This "parent-power" is essential to our school operations.

The good news is, it's fun!  We all get to know each other a little better through these activities, and we have a lot of fund developing ways to provide our kids the best educational environment possible.
